 Steve Kleiman has long been fascinated by American history and World War II specifically. He has been working through the story of Powers' Needle for several years.
Kleiman's interest is how today's "Generation X" measures up to the "tested" World War II generation and how far the younger generation is willing to go defending basic American freedoms. He has traveled through Western and Eastern Europe, North Africa, China, Southeast Asia, Japan, and elsewhere studying the war.
Kleiman acted in New York prior to moving to Los Angeles in 1997. He served as director of technology and operations for America Online's West Coast entertainment division prior to committing full-time to Powers' Needle.
Steve Kleiman grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio and graduated from the University of Michigan in 1993. He lives in Hollywood, California.
